Tonight with Boy Abunda welcomes actor Ian Veneracion, known for his role in the drama A Love to Last (2017) and the 2015 remake of Pangako Sa'Yo. On tonight’s episode, the actor-slash-singer sits on the TWBA hot seat to talk about his newest Cinema One Originals film, “Paglisan”; his love for extreme sports and how he handled the fake news surrounding his supposed death.
The King of Talk congratulates the actor for winning Best New Male Performing Artist in the 31st Awit Awards for the song “Refrain”, which he did for A, his teleserye with Bea Alonzo. Ian jokingly comments that he likes the sound of being named New Male Performing Artist making him seem more youthful and at par with other up and coming artists in the industry.
On talks of his new film, he shares that it revolves around the subject of Alzheimer's disease. In a previous interview on TWBA, the actor pointed out that it’s one his fears—having to lose his memories. When asked about what he learned from doing the film, Ian expresses that he’s now more fearful of the disease; explaining how all his life, he makes it a point to make good and happy memories every day and to just lose that in the future is unimaginable and a horrifying thought. Ian also gives a glimpse into the making of the movie and admits that it’s his first time doing an animated musical-like film.
