Tonight with Boy Abunda welcomes Jon Lucas to talk about the real story behind his hiatus from the industry to focus on personal matters and to promote his participation in 2019 Cinema One original film.
Before his hiatus, Jon appeared as Hashtag kilig ambassador on the noontime show It’s Showtime. With his success on the show, the King of Talk asks about the possibility of him returning and also inquires about his relationship with his former Hashtag members after rumors arose that he became bitter towards them. Jon expresses that he desires to return to the show as it had done so much for him, career-wise, and has catapulted him to becoming a known face in the industry. Jon denies the rumors that he’s bitter over his Hashtag members and says that he’s very happy for their achievements and isn’t the kind of person who brings people down and would rather support them.
When asked on the possibility of not being able to return to being a Hashtag member or to the industry itself, Jon wisely answers that he strongly believes that God has a plan for everything and trusts that if he isn’t meant to be here…then he is meant to be successful elsewhere; noting that he may put up a business if he doesn’t succeed in his dreams of becoming an actor and showbiz personality.
Meanwhile, the handsome star shares that he will be celebrating his 1st wedding anniversary with his wife, Shy Feras, in October. He also expresses his fear when he first found out that he’s going to be a father but does not regret his choices as being married and being a father has been some of the best things that’s ever happened to him.
