Once the public hears the name Cristine Reyes, the first attribute that comes into mind is her dauntlessness. Of all the battles she has gone through, she managed to survive inside and outside showbiz. People started to perceive her as a fearless woman who knows how to fight and win in the end. But despite the strong personality she exudes, Cristine has weaknesses as well, after all, she is human.
Cristine also has her fair share of tears, which mostly fall down when someone hurts her. But prayer has always been her biggest armor amidst all the pain; saying she finds comfort after pouring her heart in prayers.
The hot momma arrived at the set of Tonight with Boy Abunda sporting new hairdo – a pixie cut coated in an eye-catching shade of red – and totally rocked her new look. Cristine shares that her hairstyle is intended for a role she is playing for her newest project.
Known for doing drama series on the small screen, Cristine tries something new as she dives into action. She stars in a movie called "Maria," an action-packed film that revolves around vengeance. She takes on the role of Maria, a loving mother and a wife. But unknown to her family, Maria used to work as an assassin in the past; a hired killer in particular. Unfortunately, this secret life of hers will hunt her down and cut short the new and normal life she started. A series of worse scenarios will drive Maria to take revenge. The movie will hit the theaters on March 27.
Blessings are raining down on Cristine. Aside from "Maria," she is also a part of the upcoming Kapamilya morning series Nang Ngumiti ang Langit. Contrary to her recent teleserye roles, Cristine takes on the challenge of being a kontabida this time. Cristine shares that she personally requested for a villainous character as she admits growing tired of the usual protagonist roles she plays, saying she has been shedding tears on-screen for more than 15 years. “Gusto ko naman ng challenging. Gusto ko namang mang-api”, she quips. Nang Ngumiti ang Langit will start airing on March 25, before It’s Showtime.
