For the first time on the TWBA hot seat, Nikki Valdez comes on Tonight with Boy Abunda to talk about her family life, her successful business and her upcoming film, “Pang-MMK,” which is included in Cinema One Originals Festival 2018.
Dubbed as the “Pambansang Best Friend”, Nikki Valdez gives her insights on the night’s TWBA Lifeline and shares who is “Home” in her eyes. She immediately answers that it’s her husband, Luis, and daughter, Olivia. Nikki shares that she and her family knows that when they are together, they are home.
On talks of her marriage, Nikki reminisces on her recent wedding last August to Luis Garcia in Hong Kong and how they experienced an unfortunate event that caused half of their guests to miss it. She also mentions that her close friend and actress, Kaye Abad, was unable to make it due to the incident.
Nikki tells the story of how a plane had overshot, causing her friends and families’ flights to be cancelled. Despite that, they managed to pull through and push through with the ceremony. The actress also shares about her cake business, and how it has been successful ever since she started it after returning from Canada. Nikki tells Tito Boy how she always wanted to bake but couldn’t do so in Canada as she lacked the resources. When she returned home, she simply grabbed the opportunity and started her cake business, admitting that it was also a kind of healing for her after coming from a failed relationship. When asked if she had a store, Nikki hints at her future plans to put one up and expand her business.
