In this episode of TWBA, Boy Abunda got an amusing birthday surprise when guest John Lloyd Cruz took the floor and grilled him on the Fast Talk hot seat. The birthday celebrant was game, giving us eight minutes of entertainment.
The King of Talk would always prioritize health over wealth. In fact, his birthday wish was good health for him and his Nanay and everyone else. The glamorous New York is his favorite city. Asked to choose between Las Vegas and London, he went for the latter. He thought of Ivar Aseron when asked to name his favorite local designer.
Some celebrities sent their questions in like Mateo Guidicelli who asked the celebrant to take a pick between love and showbiz. Love, of course, was his choice. On crucial situations, though when he’s left with only two choices – world peace and true love – Tito Boy would opt for that one thing that would benefit mankind than his own happiness.
On questions related to numbers and figures, Tito Boy doesn’t tally how many pairs of shoes he owns. He can’t count his true friends, either. He fell in love 33 years ago and that love remains strong until the present. Asked how much he’s worth, he asserted, “I’m priceless.” Tito Boy confessed he struggles in talking about his age. “For the longest time I was afraid to say how old I am, and this comes from the bottom of my heart, because I had problems dealing with growing old because I had this notion that people are not kind to old gays,” he further expressed.
The first item on Tito Boy’s to-do list during his day off from work is to get something to read. Are there other hosts that make him feel insecure? Definitely none! “I am very collaborative,” he stated. The veteran host is certain he wouldn’t retire from showbiz. Not running for politics was the best decision he has ever made. Like most people, Tito Boy is guilty for making lies to protect his talent or a friend’s reputation.
If there’s someone he wouldn’t dare interview, he said that would be Osama bin Laden. Of all the artists he was able to grill on the TWBA hot seat, John Lloyd made it on top of the list of his most favorite guests. If the time for his last interview comes, the veteran host would like to spend it with Barbara Walters and the final question he would throw in is related to forgiveness.
Nothing beats home for Tito Boy and he can spend the rest of his life in his hometown in Borongan, Eastern Samar. The top-calibre host would always tell his viewers to make their mothers proud. But how does he really please his Nanay? “By being the best mother I can be to her. I don’t want to say by being as a good a mother as she was to me because I will never be better than my mother. But I can be the best mother than I can be to her in her stage today.”
