Popular Kapamilya stars Zanjoe Marudo and Maja Salvador take the hot seat on Tonight with Boy Abunda to talk about their close friendship and ties—in line with their latest film, To Love Some Buddy from Black Sheep productions.
Another friends-to-lovers story hits the big screen, top-billed by two of the most promising actors in Philippine entertainment today. The King of Talk sits down with Playhouse actor Zanjoe Marudo and Wildflower star Maja Salvador to talk about their joint project, To Love Some Buddy; a film that tells the story of best friends who experience the struggles of becoming lovers. On talks of friendship, the two stars narrate how their friendship began and reveal that it began during their out-of-the-country shows. Zanjoe tells the story of how Maja helped him out back then and how that started their good relationship with each other.
After talking about their film, the King of Talk then opens up a recent interview with Zanjoe’s Playhouse co-star Angelica Panganiban and how the actress deemed him as “husband material”. The actor expresses that he’s flattered to be called such and admits likewise—that deems her as wife material as well and would want to be in a relationship with someone who gives their all in a relationship the way Angelica does.
On talks of relationships, Tito Boy then asks Maja about her ex, Carlo Aquino—inquiring if there’s a chance for them to get back together if he pursues her once more. The star honestly conveys her thoughts on a second chance with him and says that his chance has passed and that she would probably never pursue another relationship with an ex. The King of Talk then follows up with the controversy that she’s partly the reason for CarGel’s (Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban) break up to which the actress notes that there were other girls before her who probably became the reason.
“Sorry, Carlo,” the actress says after revealing that Carlo had been a playboy back then.
