Tonight with Boy Abunda welcomes singer Jake Zyrus to talk about d the recent happenings in his career and personal life.
The King of Talk opens up about the controversial story of the artist’s life and how his change of sexuality has caused a break in his family that ended up with him separating from them. Jake gets up close and personal with Tito Boy as he narrates the true story of how he only wanted to be real to himself but unfortunately, his family never got to accept that. In his book, ‘I Am Jake,” he tells how Jake Zyrus is the man hiding behind Charice Pempengco’s superstar-singer façade.
On the talks of his sick grandmother, Jake says that he wants to visit her but admits that he no longer knows his limits; unsure whether he would still be welcome to do so and somehow sure that his visit would probably be unappreciated. Tito Boy mentions a quote from Jake’s brother, Carl, saying: “Family is inevitable. He can’t do this to us forever”—to which the singer counters that it’s the other way around and defends that he’s doing nothing to them. Jake also tells the story of how he had taken his brother in and has lived with him for a year, expressing his concern for him and how he didn’t want to make him feel left out.
