Tonight with Boy Abunda welcomes Jon Lucas to talk about the real story behind his hiatus from the industry to focus on personal matters and to promote his participation in 2019 Cinema One original film.
The King of Talk opens the show with a lifeline from famous Hollywood actor Michael J. Fox, which says: “Family is not an important thing. It is everything.” A fitting quote for the show’s guest who happens to have taken a break from the spotlight to focus on his family life. Jon reveals that the reason for his absence in the show is to focus on being a husband and father to their newborn son. The 23-year-old shares that family is indeed everything—and to prove it, he shows a tattoo on his chest that says: “Family is Everything.”—which he got in 2015.
Jon also goes to share his close ties with his mother who recently passed away and his love for his wife, Shy Feras, and their newborn baby boy Brycen Christian—who became the light of his life amidst all the misfortunes he experienced in the past year. On talks of becoming a family man, Tito Boy asked the young star on his fears about being a dad, and Jon sincerely admits that he’s afraid of not being able to perform as a good dad to his son with him being so young. He also tells how it’s no longer just about him and how he often has to think about their baby before buying anything for himself. The actor also reveals how terrified he was of carrying his son at first, and how he had made an effort to learn how to properly carry an infant, which impressed Tito Boy.
