It’s no surprise that some actors who have true passion for their craft would go into directing. The artistic talent of a story teller is just naturally there. Already, they have first-hand experience of the ins and outs of the entertainment industry. There’s also having worked with and learned from some of the best directors and colleagues. Basically, their entire career is their foundation for directing. So, why not go for it? These artists did and even talked about it on Tonight with Boy Abunda.
Many might not know but Nadine Lustre was the one that orchestrated the music video of James Reid’s “The Life.” Nash Aguas starred and called the shots of the ABS-CBN Mobile Exclusive Show “Coffee Break,” despite his young age. Although, he did start out in show business as a child star.
John Prats was initially offended when he was offered a directing role because he thought it was a hint that he was no long cut out to be an actor. Since then, however, he has enjoyed the process and has been busy collecting experiences. So far, he has an episode of TWBA and Gandang Gabi Vice in his pocket, as well as Moira Dela Torre’s “Malaya” music video. He even kicked it up a notch by starting a production company called Bright Bulb Productions which he co-owns with good friends Angelica Panganiban and Sam Milby.
