Prized Director Paul Soriano has already proven his versatility and brilliance as a filmmaker through the award-winning movies he helmed in the past decade.
However, he is not only among the finest and youngest in his chosen field, he is also the best dad for the adorable Severiano Elliott, his son with his wife of three years Toni Gonzaga.
After being together for more than eight years, the celebrity couple finally decided to tie the knot on June 12, 2015. Despite having an agreement not to bear a child at least a year after their marriage to savor their new life together, their firstborn seemed to be unstoppable from coming to the world earlier than expected on September 30, 2016.
Although both of them are new to parenthood, Paul and Toni were still able to take on their roles well as Seve continues to grow up as a well-behaved, lovable, and smart kid, in spite of being busy as well with their respective careers.
With the demanding nature of his work, the 37-year-old director confessed during his recent guesting on Tonight With Boy Abunda for the promotion of his latest masterpiece “First Love” that having to leave his son to work for months most of the time is both good and bad, making him miss some of the important milestones in his life.

Notwithstanding, Toni has been supportive of him as she kept on praising him about how hands-on, supportive, and protected father he is to Seve.
Whenever he has free time, Direk Paul apparently loves to bond with his two-year-old "Mini Me", as seen in the photos we collated in this gallery. Ever since Seve was born, Direk Paul had shown how hands-on and smitten he is with their Chabiloo as he stuck by Toni's side to help her take care of him.
Moreover, they also take him to out-of-town and out-of-the-country trips and let him experience everything. There were instances, as well, when he takes him to work and to his meetings, perhaps to spread cuteness in a very serious atmosphere, and even have their own #PasyalDay.
What makes their father and son tandem extra delighting is the fact that Direk Paul was the one who bestowed Baby Seve his name, deriving it from the name of his most favorite golfer Severiano Ballesteros and the lead character from his favorite movie E. T., the one that enkindled his fervor for films. No wonder that the first toy he gave him was a slender ET doll.
