Kapamilya Chat Firsts Jillian Pamat

Jillian Pamat has become the latest young artist to win as Grand Champion in “The Voice Teens.” She was under the mentorship of Coach Bamboo. While her soulful voice has won over audiences throughout the competition, there's more to her charm than meets the eye. We witnessed her captivating personality shine through as she took on the “Kapamilya Chat Firsts” Challenge, in which, as the name of the game suggests, she would go through a list of questions about her memorable ‘firsts.’

At the tender age of 5, Jillian participated in her first singing contest, performing "Natatawa Ako," a piece she later showcased again during "The Voice Teens Season 3" Knockout Rounds. Remarkably, her singing “Natatawa Ako” was one of her favorite performances from the ‘Knockouts,’ as it was a song she had mastered since childhood.

The teen singer also proves to be reliable in the kitchen. The first dish she learned to cook was "adobong kangkong” using freshly picked kangkong from their backyard.

Her first inspiration to be a good person was her grandpa, whose advice, along with her parents', to always listen to elders, left a lasting impression on her.

No matter what time it is, if she's in the mood to listen to music, the first song that comes to her mind is "Araw-Araw" by Ben&Ben. It’s the same song she would dedicate to Kyle Echarri, her first celebrity crush.

When you feel like taking a risk, go for it, because more often than not, it's the universe telling you that the risk will be worth it in the end, just like what happened to Jillian. Her first audition experience was for “The Voice Teens Season 3.”  She simply wanted to give it a try, so she kept it a secret from her family at first to avoid disappointing them. She admitted that she never expected to become a champion, considering it was her first time auditioning especially for a TV contest.

The first celebrities she saw outside of “The Voice” were Maymay Entrata, Melai Cantiveros, and Kim Chiu, who passed by while Bamboo was mentoring her in the ABS-CBN studios. She was so starstruck that she almost lost focus during their rehearsal.

The first time she felt nervous while singing a song was when she performed "Tatsulok," originally sung by her coach Bamboo, as a duet with him during their 'Finale' production number.

As Jillian starts the next part of her journey, we can't wait to hear the beautiful songs she'll sing and see how she'll continue to capture everyone's hearts with her amazing talent.
