Like any of the Top Three Artists of Coach apl.de.ap, the Filipino-American rapper-music producer is also a testament of being brave and audacious, and that's how he wants to see his three singing warriors in The Voice Teens Season 2—Calvin Candelaria of Camarines Sur, Isang Manlapaz of Muntinlupa City, and Yang-Yang Aloya of Batangas.
According to the popular member of the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group, The Black Eyed Peas, who last served as a coach in The Voice of the Philippines in 2015, the one he's looking for to best represent his team is someone who sings from the heart and is never afraid to take risks.
Team Apl consists of a dutiful son, a loving daughter who only wishes to support the treatment of her visually impaired father, and a teenage mother.
Calvin Candelaria of Camarines Sur

Camarines Sur's Promising Balladeer, Calvin wowed both Lea Salonga and Apl.de.ap during the Blind Auditions. His rendition of the song “Nais Ko” earned him a spot in Team Apl.
Singing “New York State of Mind,” Calvin beat Ella Mayor of California, USA during their duet in the Battles.
In the Knockouts, Calvin sang “Heaven.” His performance merited coach Lea's nod over CZ Baylosis and Matt Reyes; and eventually Coach apl, for him to move forward as the team's Top Three artists.
Isang Manlapaz of Muntinlupa City

Isang’s soulful and reggae take of the OPM classic “Isang Linggong Pag-ibig” was a four-chair-turner in the Blind Auditions. Sarah Geronimo had to block Coach Bamboo just to battle against Coach Lea and Coach Apl. All the judges were blown away by her performance, but Coach Apl won over the two lady mentors as he got Isang to join his team.
Isang’s intense and impactful performance of “Saan Ako Nagkamali” made her the obvious winner over Mimi Mondejar of Bukidnon in the Battles.
In the Knockouts, Isang was pitted against Jessie Gonzales of Hong Kong, Hana Adriano of Las Piñas, Yang-Yang Aloya of Batangas, and Noielle Rodriguez of Albay. In the end, her impeccable, soulful rendition of “Roses” brought her to the Top 3.
Yang-Yang Aloya of Batangas City

The title as Palabang Teen Mom--is apt for her. The universe conspired with her as she aimed for apl to be her coach, and it came to pass. Singing “Bulag, Pipi at Bingi” made her soar high and captured Coach Apl's heart.
While at the Battle round, Yang-Yang’s emotional performance of “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” prevailed over the version of the Dream Sister of Pangasinan, Hakki Patricio. Yang-Yang’s passionate performance made her move forward to the next round of the competition.
Yang-Yang's rendition of “Sing You a Love Song” gave her the ticket to the finals as one of Coach Apl's Top Three Artists, along with teammate Isang Manlapaz in the Knockouts. Her love for her baby has brought her this far in the competition.
Will this season of The Voice Teens and Coach Apl.de.ap's return a smashing hit? Will one of his Top Three artists emerge as the Grand Winner?
