Sarah Geronimo-Guidicelli will again vie to have one of her wards win it all in the upcoming finale of The Voice Teens Season 2.
Team Sarah has three artists on top of the heap—Andre Parker from Antipolo City, Jaylloyd Garche from Bacolod City, and Kendra Aguirre from Las Piñas City—and one of them may bring home the fifth overall title and second Teens plum for the Popstar Royalty coach.
With her illuminating stature in the industry, Sarah definitely passes on the incredible performance intensity, exceptional vocal prowess, and her solid determination and commitment to her craft to these young competitors.
As a longtime mentor in The Voice of the Philippines, she has proven time and again that she knows what it takes to be a champion, having guided the most number of Grand Winners—a total of four—since its inception in 2013.
Will she continue her run as the runaway champion judge and score another win for The Voice Teens? Here are members of her Team Sarah, who could realize this goal.
Jaylloyd Garche of Bacolod City
One of Sarah’s artists is the Dependable Dancing Brother of Bacolod, Jaylloyd Garche. During his Blind Audition, he sang “Kung Sakali.” Apart from Coach Sarah, Coach Lea Salonga also turned for him.
Garche's voice is very pleasing to hear, according to Lea.
During the Battles, he had a duet with Kate Campo via the song “Istorya.” But, he beat her because of his much heartfelt rendition of the song.
In the Knockouts, he sang “Hiling.” Will his dream of helping finance his sister’s treatments for her Chronic Kidney Disease come to pass?
Kendra Aguirre of Las Piñas City
Next is Kendra Aguirre of Las Piñas who sang “Proud Mary” during her Blind Audition. Both Bamboo and Sarah turned for her. Bamboo described Kendra as having that voice personality he is looking for to be part of his team. She chose to be part of Team Sarah, instead.
Her family’s constant support for her boosted her confidence as a performer. Kendra would then beat Jason Villanueva in singing “The Closer I Get to You” in the Battles.
Her commitment to winning the competition has propelled her to make it to the Top Three. At the Knockouts, she sang “Vision of Love.”
Andre Parker of Antipolo City
Andre Parker is another impressive hopeful, who sang “Feeling Good” during his Blind Audition. At the time, it was only Sarah who turned for him.
The soulful male singer from Antipolo battled against Hana Adriano in the Battle Round as they sang “Best Part,” and won over the latter.
At the Knockouts, Andre showed much improvement as he got the nod from the Popstar Royalty to be one of her Top Three artists. He sang “Make You Feel My Love.”
Will Sarah extend her victorious coaching run in this season of The Voice Teens? Let’s find out in The Voice Teens Finals on the Kapamilya Channel on August 15, Saturday after Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan and August 16, Sunday, after Iba ‘Yan.
