Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo was born on July 25, 1988 in Santa Cruz, Manila. Her father, Delfin Geronimo, is a retired PLDT employee, while her mother, Divina Tua, ran a beauty salon in their house. She started singing at the age of 2 and was accompanied by her mother to auditions for different television programs when she was 4. She studied at the University of Santo Tomas High School, but later completed her secondary education at Angelicum College. She also studied Associate in Arts program in the University of the Philippines Open University.
In 2002, Sarah joined a TV singing competition called Star For A Night where she became the Grand Champion. A year after, she released her debut album which has sold 300,000 plus copies to date, making it the best-selling debut album of all time in the Philippines. As of 2018, she has earned 55 Platinum and 6 Diamond Record Awards in her entire 15-year career. And to celebrate her decade and a half in the industry, she launched a promotional world tour called This 15 Me for her 13th studio album of the same name.
Despite her fame and success, Sarah remains humble and regularly holds benefit concerts for various charities for children and cancer patients, also having been involved with several outreach programs with Gawad Kalinga.
This 2020, she will continue to be one of the coaches in the second season of The Voice Teens Philippines.
