Luke Dela Cruz shares learnings from Coach KZ during Battle Rounds rehearsals

After astonishing us with his rendition of the Regine Velasquez hit classic “Pangako” in the Blind Auditions, Luke Dela Cruz went on to impress us with his take on Orient Pearl’s “Pagsubok” alongside fellow Team Supreme members Lucho Bobis and Noah Donggon during the Battle Rounds of The Voice Kids Season 5.

But among the three, it was the young “Beatboxing Balladeer” who stood out as Coach KZ Tandingan chose him to move on to the sing-offs. According to her, “For this particular performance, itong artist lang na ‘to talaga, isa siya sa mga type of artists na kapag kasama mo siyang mag-perform, alam mong masasandalan mo siya. Everytime I throw something at this kid…’di ko siya naririnig magreklamo.”

In his reappearance in The Voice Kids DigiTV, he enthusiastically talked about Coach KZ’s mentoring style during their rehearsals. He told hosts Elha Nympha and Jeremy G how great she is and how she taught them a lot about singing techniques, such as proper breathing and pouring their hearts out in their performance. He also got to be friends with Lucho and Noah as they would play during their breaks.

Luke also imparted how truly nervous she was during the battle rounds because his teammates also offered impressive performances, too. Thus, he wishes them to have a promising career and good life. At the same time, he’s happy that the Asia’s Soul Supreme picked him, which he actually didn’t expect.

See how Luke will thrive in the next rounds of the competitions by not missing an episode of The Voice Kids Season 5, every Saturday and Sunday, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
