Deion Ang The Voice Kids Season 5

He may already have a viral video amusing us with his adorable version of Iñigo Pascual’s “Dahil Sa ‘Yo” that raked in more than 4.2 million views alongside his older brother when he was only three years old, but there’s definitely no stopping young artist Deion Ang from further showing his talent by joining The Voice Kids Season 5.

Just like the other young artists in this season, he learned how to sing when he was only three, thanks to his Kuya Denrich, who tagged him along whenever he makes song covers. Aside from singing, he also loves biking, which got developed during the pandemic after his parents bought him a bike.

Thus, host Robi Domingo used this as a creative way to relay the good news to Deion, that he was being invited to the Blind Auditions. The invitation got him really emotional since it’s the ultimate dream he shares with his beloved mother and older brother.

Taking to his heart his idol-slash-kuya’s advice for him to be “makapal ang mukha” onstage, the talented and cute nine-year-old boy performed an upbeat and jazzy version of Rey Valera’s “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko.” Concert King Martin Nievera got impressed with him, so he turned his chair for him. The ushered him into to MarTeam by having him recreate his viral video with his brother singing “Dahil Sa ‘Yo,” with the coaches dancing around him while he was sitting at Coach KZ Tandingan’s chair.

In his The Voice Kids DigiTV interview, he expressed how “super, super, super, super, super proud” he is of his Kuya Denrich. Deion also imparted that he is “so happy” that Coach Martin turned for him, who he refers to as “Coach Idol” as his dad describes his performances as “iconic”.

His Mommy Jenny also made a special appearance on his conversation with hosts Jeremy G and Elha Nympha, who also conveyed how proud she is of his son. “Super proud po ako. Siyempre po, pangarap ko po, pangarap din ng kuya niya na mag-The Voice, pero siya po ang tumupad no’n. Kasi first time niya lang sumali ng contest, tapos sa The Voice pa. Kaya super proud po kaming lahat sa kanya.”

Show your support to our young artists, like Deion, by not missing an episode of The Voice Kids Season 5, Saturdays and Sundays, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
