Being a ball of sunshine that she is, it’s definitely not hard to get smitten by young artist Candice Flores. More so, if you saw her impressive performance in the blind auditions of The Voice Kids Season 5.

A self-confessed “madaldal and bibo” ever since she learned how to speak, the eight-year-old belter from Dasmariñas City, Cavite started singing when she was only 2. According to her Mommy Shirley, she noticed how she would sing random songs every time she went home from work at night and would repeatedly tell her that she wanted to sing onstage.

Aside from being her mom’s assistant in their online shop business, she is also helping her in household chores, such as washing clothes and dishes and cleaning the house. At the same time, she helps her dad in calling passengers as he works as a transport driver.

She may be little, but Candice showed how terrific she actually is as she belted out Morisette’s “Naririnig Mo Ba.” Her crystal-clear enunciation and the quality of her voice convinced Coach Bamboo to make a buzzer-beater turn. He further admired her when she imparted that it has been her dream to join any singing contest, regardless if she wins or lose, because what’s most important for her is to be able to share her talent to the world.

Coaches KZ Tandingan and Martin Nievera may not have turned for her, but they offered to become her new besties after her ex-best friend of four years after it chose to be with the granddaughter of their school principal over her.

In her The Voice Kids DigiTV appearance, Candice showed her naughty side while being interviewed by hosts Jeremy G and Elha Nympha. Being a former artist under Kamp Kawayan, Elha advised Candice to “always listen to Coach Bamboo. She also enthusiastically accepted Jeremy’s fun challenges of calling customers and selling a comb as her wacky “alter-ego” named “Karen.”

Show your support to our young artists – like Candice – by not missing an episode of The Voice Kids Season 5, Saturdays and Sundays, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
