Fabio (Miko Raval) falls to a gruesome death under Alice (Lara Quigaman)’s hands. Camila (Maja Salvador) and Emma (Janella Salvador) drown in anguish upon seeing Fabio’s corpse with the name of the woman he loves ruthlessly etched across his chest.
After Fabio’s cremation, Emma is seen embracing the urn containing her Papa’s ashes. Elias (Joshua Garcia) hesitates to approach Emma, scared that he might only add more to her sadness.
Instead, Elias goes to a secluded place and screams out his assumptions, knowing that Matias (Manuel Chua) is just around the area, watching over him. True enough, his father shows up. Elias forces Matias to confess about the killer’s identity, certain that his Tatay knows something.
Elias defies Matias pleas to leave Las Espadas and stay away from possible danger. He displays manly determination and courage, saying he wouldn’t abandon his adoptive parents especially now that a serial killer is on the loose.
But Matias insists that he managed to survive by keeping his mouth shut and he asserts that Elias must do the same as well. Besides, Elias wouldn’t be able to save everyone but himself.
Elias rebuts his father’s stand, wondering where he would be if the people who took him in were as selfish as Matias. Elias sticks to his courage and opts to save those he loves even if it meant dying in return; unlike his own Dad who thought that there’s nothing more to life than breathing.
