Maja Salvador started her journey in the showbiz industry when the defunct talk show The Buzz featured her quest in finding her biological father. After Maalaala Mo Kaya host and ABS-CBN’s former CEO Charo Santos-Concio watched the feature, she would then open the doors for her in the Kapamilya network.

Maja joined the cast of the 2003 drama series It Might Be You. Along with that, she also appeared on ASAP and became one of the show’s regular performers and host since then. In 2004, she starred in the first-ever teen adventure-supernatural series titled Spirits. It was the television debut of critically acclaimed director Chito Roño. The following year, Maja had her very first MMK stint in the episode “Diary,” aired on August 2005.
In 2006’s MMK episode “Regalo,” Maja played the role of April, a child who suffered and eventually died from cerebral palsy. Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos portrayed April’s mother Daisy. The said episode won as the Best TV Drama Program at the 15th KBP Golden Dove Awards. That same year, she starred in 2006’s TV series titled Sa Piling Mo.
Maja also exhibited her great talent in dancing and singing. Thus, her acting projects in 2007 showcased her combined acting, dancing and singing skills. She portrayed the aspiring dancer named Dianne in Love Spell presents: Shoes Ko Po, Shoes Ko ‘Day! In September to December 2007, she took the role of an aspiring singer named Kimmy Bautista/Ruby Gomez in the musical romantic-drama series titled Pangarap na Bituin.
Maja starred again in a musical drama in 2008. She appeared in Your Song presents: Kapag Ako ay Nagmahal as Andrea, who dreams of being a prima ballerina. That same year, she played as the leading lady Melody to the superhero Kapitan Boom. Later that year, she starred with her constant dance partner Rayver Cruz in the MMK episode titled “Board Game.”
In 2009, Maja debuted her tandem with the Primetime King Coco Martin. They partnered in the comic series titled Nasaan Ka Maruja?, then starred on the romantic drama series Nagsimula sa Puso. Within the same year up to 2010, she appeared as Stella Rodrigo in the phenomenal drama series titled May Bukas Pa. Maja’s career kept on thriving in 2010 as she continued to portray lead roles on various shows. She starred opposite Sam Milby on Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Impostor. Maja then played the titular role of Inday in the fantasy anthology titled Wansapanataym Present: Inday sa Balitaw. Lastly, she portrayed the dancer named Elena in the MMK episode “Dancing Shoes.”
From 2011, Maja started to show us more of her versatility as an actress. She portrayed the rebel named Kaye “Krista” Villanueva in 2011’s family military drama titled Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin. She became the third wheel Amber Dionisio in the tandem of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim in the teleserye My Binondo Girl. In 2012, she starred as Janine Del Castillo in Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Lumayo Ka Man sa Akin and played a guest role as Darling in the sitcom Toda Max. Maja ended her year with a bang as she portrayed the ‘bida-kontrabida’ named Margaux Elizalde Marasigan in the acclaimed family drama Ina, Kapatid, Anak.
As Nicole Esquivel in the sensational teleserye The Legal Wife, Maja became a controversial and cunning yet loathed antagonist. Later in December 2014, she played as Melissa Francisco on the seasonal series titled Give Love on Christmas Presents The Gift of Life.
After more than a decade in the showbiz industry, Maja took on a role that gave her first two awards as a television actress. For her commendable performance on Bridges of Love in 2015, she was recognized as Best Drama Actress in the 29th PMPC Star Awards for TV and Best Actress in a TV Series in HAU's Paragala Central Luzon Media Awards. In September 2015, she reunited with Coco Martin in the top-rating, longest running action drama series titled FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, portraying SP01 Glenda "Glen" Corpuz. Maja would then appear in the sitcom Home Sweetie Home in 2016.
Ultimately, Maja became a multi-awarded actress when she starred as Lily Cruz/Ivy Aguas in 2017’s revenge drama series titled Wildflower. Her laudable performance on the said show gave her multiple Best Actress recognitions from different award-giving bodies. To mention a few, she achieved the Actress of the Year and Ultimate Bida awards in the 3rd RAWR Awards 2017, Lead Actress of the Year award in the 8th TV Series Craze Awards 2017, Most Innovative TV Actress award in the 3rd Illumine Innovation Awards for Television and many more.
