Confused with Elias (Joshua Garcia)’s mixed signals, Emma (Janella Salvador) approaches him to inquire about the truth. Emma recalls how Elias carried her out of the burning building after the explosion planted by the enemies. She also knows that Elias stayed by her side at the hospital but all these loving gestures suddenly turn into a blur after she wakes up and comes home.
Adhering to his father’s demand to cut connection with Emma and Camila (Maja Salvador), Elias hides his true feelings and gives Emma the cold shoulder. He says he was simply there to check on Emma and nothing more.
But Emma clearly remembers Elias begging her to fight and wake up soon. She recalls Elias asking for a second chance to start anew in their relationship and saying that he is willing to forget all their misunderstandings. She narrates how Elias confessed wanting to spend his life with her. But the way Elias acts only stirs her confusion. She demands Elias to enlighten her and set things clear.
Elias is supposed to profess the truth but he suddenly catches a sight of Matias (Manuel Chua) lurking around. His father’s presence reminds him of the need to stay away from Emma. He tries to supress his tears.
The heart-rending encounter is cut short when Emma’s bodyguard interrupts to relay the bad news about Fabio (Miko Raval)’s abduction. Emma leaves Elias without a word.
Meanwhile, Matias approaches his son and commends him for doing the right thing.
Elias fails to hold back his tears and asks his father why doing the right thing hurts so much.
