Caught up by the situation, Tatiana (Ariella Arida) is left without a choice but to break her silence on her connection with Justino, the blackmail involving Juan Felipe (James Blanco), and her attempt to use Emma (Janella Salvador) as a lure. Tatiana begins her narrative by saying she was raped by Justino at the age of seventeen, on her first Ladies Society Ball appearance. She kept mum about the incident in her desire to protect her beloved brother, Juan Felipe’s reputation.
Tatiana heads off to the precinct with Guada (Aurora Sevilla) to provide her statement about the sexual assault. Meanwhile, Juan Felipe calls a press conference and presents a man who, according to the police, has confessed to committing Justino’s murder. But, unknown to the public, the man is innocent and was simply harassed to own up the crime.
Amid the press conference, the media people and the residents of Las Espadas receive a video recording bearing Juan Felipe’s darkest secret. The material shows evidence of Juan Felipe’s affair with his aide, Ivan. Juan Felipe walks out of the event to get away with the controversy.
At the dela Torre mansion, Alice (Lara Quigaman) confronts Juan Felipe. She cries out all her pain. Alice looked down on herself all through the years and willingly fell victim to Juan Felipe’s violence, assuming that she deserved the beating for being inadequate to her husband’s needs. But, now that the truth is out, Alice puts the blame on Juan Felipe.
Juan Felipe denies the scandal and insists that the video material is faked. Alice does not want to buy her husband’s alibi and turns to Tatiana instead. However, Tatiana refuses to speak up and simply walks out.
Luis (Sam Concepcion) enters the scene and blocks Juan Felipe’s hand just in time before it hits Alice again. Luis dauntlessly lands his fist on Juan Felipe’s face.
Juan Felipe’s anger makes him tear up as he mocks his own son. He asserts that even his soft side will never make him any less powerful. He calls Luis the weaker man instead. Juan Felipe walks out of the mansion; leaving Alice and Luis comforting one another.
Meanwhile, sympathy is seen in Emma’s face as she watches the intense confrontation at a corner.
