Camila (Maja Salvador) fails to press information from Aurora (Maricel Morales) about the identities of Luciano (Cris Villanueva)’s accomplices. Aurora simply hints that the enemies have long been near Camila’s side.
Later, Camila notes a similarity between Agnes’ manner of speaking and that of the mystery caller who abducted Emma (Janella Salvador) and Luna (Alexa Ilacad). The two best friends engage in a thrilling knife fight while a series of flashbacks reveal the root of Agnes’s rage.
It turns out that Agnes looked at Camila with envy and that all these time, she secretly viewed her as an enemy. Agnes despised Camila’s intention to build a friendship with her but her mother, who always looked down on her, pushed her towards Camila for selfish gains. The comparison between them, with her always being at the bottom, enflamed Agnes’ envy even more. Her mother calling her dumb and saying that Camila is more praiseworthy was the last straw that pushed Agnes to her limits. Agnes doubled her efforts as a farmer and a laundrywoman to support her and her mother’s needs but all her hard work went unappreciated. She then tried to seek Agot (Tanya Gomez)’s help in going to Manila.
Still following the trail of flashbacks, Agnes reveals that she entered a relationship with Javier (Dominic Ochoa) due to her desire for a better life and to become a Dela Cuesta just like what Camila was supposed to be.
Camila and Agnes clash in an intense knife fight. The latter manages to escape by using Tsoknat (Pamu Pamorada) as a hostage, forcing Camila to stop chasing after her.
