She might have arrived in Las Espadas alone and with no family nor friend she could run to, aside from Dako Pa Roon Funeral Parlor owner Manay Ichu (Malou De Guzman) to whom she would work with as a mortician, but Emma (Janella Salvador) had found someone who would stuck by her side through whatever – Elias (Joshua Garcia).
With all the intense happenings, nerve-wracking twists, and horrifying deaths that incessantly haunted us in the past five months of fervently watching The Killer Bride, it was Elias and Emma who provided romantic relief as they never failed to flutter or pierce our hearts whenever we see them together on-screen, especially during those instances where he would come to her rescue just like a knight-in-shining-armor.
As the well-loved gothic drama is now on its final episodes, let’s take a look back on the 10 moments when Elias became a mighty hero to Emma via this Kapamilya Toplist.
Avid viewers of The Killer Bride would probably recall that right from the very first time that Emma set her foot in Las Espadas and literally bumped into Elias, we already had an inkling that he would be her savior as it was him who warmly welcomed her and took her to her destination. Since then, he’s been notably omnipresent wherever she was and helpful towards her, making sure that she would always be fine.
With the weird antics and bizarre things that she said as she claimed being possessed by Camila (Maja Salvador), Emma had been a victim of bullying by the group of Luna (Alexa Ilacad) and the snide judgment of the townsfolks, as well as the cruelty of town’s quack doctor Manoy Andres (Soliman Cruz) who persistently pursued to exorcise her. But Elias would always arrive just in time and save and defend her, even though they started to call him names, like “St. Elias, the Savior of Freaks”.
Of course, who would forget those instances when he kept her safe from harm, such as that time when the Dela Torre family’s henchmen were hunting her down, when a bomb exploded during the Dia de Esperanza, when she was held hostage by a man whose loved ones were among the victims of the said tragedy, when she was being chased by the ‘killer bride’, and when she got trapped in a house fire.
Although he’s known in Las Espadas to be a non-believer of ghosts and other supernatural entities, Elias had mustered enough courage to defend Emma from being ridiculed by Luna in front of their folks and admitted that he’d begun to believe that it’s true since he saw the dreaded ‘killer bride’ too by his own eyes.
Are we going to see more heroic deeds of Elias for Emma in the remaining episodes? Well, that’s for us to find out so you better keep tuned in to The Killer Bride, weeknights on Primetime Bida.
