If you follow Janella Salvador on Instagram, then you know that her feed is more than just her corner of the internet where she posts moments from her life. It is also the place where she most often declares being an ally to mankind’s four legged friends, most specifically Maximus the Alaskan Malamute and Bandit the Exotic Shorthair.
“I can’t believe it’s been over a year. I’ll love you forever, my Maximus,” she wrote in her birthday dedication. “Can someone help me let THIS cat outta the bag !?” she captioned another post. To further prove her love, she actually made a separate Instagram account for the two which currently has over three thousand followers. Aside from the puns and bear hugs, however, these two have become her stress reliever. Consider them a happy pill whenever she is going through a rough patch.
On her recent visit to Magandang Buhay, Janella shared how she recovered from depression. Having experienced her fair share of low points, she knew that last year was one of her worst. “Actually, this year lang ako nakabangon talaga,” she revealed. Something good happened to her that brought her to tears. “God spoke to me in such a beautiful way,” she professed. At a time when she built walls around her, she realized how God works through the people around her. “He really is there, he listens talaga,” Janella continued.
Of course, her pets were also her favorite companions. “Feeling ko ‘pag walang hayop sa bahay, incomplete,” she explained her love for animals. In fact, she lets Bandit sleep on her bed. Janella believes that animals can sense people’s emotions. “Talagang lalambingin ka nila,” she stated.
