For sure, a lot of avid Kapamilya fans and ardent supporters of Maja Salvador indeed rejoiced when it was confirmed that she would take part in ABS-CBN’s newest teleserye offering The Iron Heart, wherein she played Cassandra, the first love interest of Richard Gutierrez’s character Apollo Adelantar.
Her stint in the action-drama series may just be short-lived, but we can all agree that it was indeed remarkable. And since we’ve only got to see her posts on social media regarding it, Hotspot host DJ Jhai Ho, who’s also part of the series, had the chance to catch up with Maja during an event.
When asked what he would like to tell those who eagerly supported her throughout the two weeks that she’d been a part of it, the versatile actress had nothing but gratitude.
“Thank you. ’Yong two weeks na ‘yon, sobrang nakakatuwa dahil napanood ko ‘yong sarili ko sa Kapamilya network. Tulad ng sinabi ko, na-miss ko talagang gumawa ng parang love story tapos drama, which is ‘yon naman ang binigay ng Star Creatives, ‘yon naman po ang napanood n’yo, ‘di ba?”
Those who were able to watch it had witnessed how her character Cassandra had relentlessly loved Apollo and how many times she hoped that he would come back to him. Besides, we had also seen how she repeatedly got hurt and gave him a chance until her last breath, when she got fatally shot by one of the henchmen of Engr. Priam Dela Torre (Albert Martinez).
With regards to being an artist-slash-talent manager at present, she said that being meticulous with the appearance of her co-stars has been innate to her, so it doesn’t make her feel that she is working and she truly enjoys every moment of it. DJ Jhai Ho himself had also seen how naturally passionate and generous Maja is towards her fellow artists, by recalling one instance when she was the one who took care of their food on the set of the project they’re working on.
