Jake Cuenca The Iron Heart BTS

From his look to nuances, Jake Cuenca masterfully plays his character as the secret agent posing as a gangster Eros in The Iron Heart, as in every project he does. The transformation is so genius. He has practically breathed life into a new persona, so much so that we’d like to call him the god of acting. Isn’t he?

See how invested he is in his character through these behind-the-scenes photos and reels.

Once he steps on set, Jake is no longer himself but the guy he portrays. And he does it so incredibly well, starting with the wardrobe. For Eros, he flashes devilish charm in his stylish ensembles. The big-time mafia boss understands the power of dressing up to project respectability in the crime society.

He pays attention to the characters’ accessories and props as well. For instance, he personally picked the watch and guns fit for Eros’ power-hungry personality. And what else radiates power and elegance than gold?

The dashing anti-hero tones down his costumes when immersed in action-packed encounters. We took note of his impeccable performance in a brawl featuring a port and shipping containers. In a behind-the-scenes video shared by production unit Star Creatives, we can see Jake’s unbreakable grit to pull off the stunts including high falls. “Walang uurungan, kahit heights pa ‘yan!”

His no-holds-barred physical fight with Richard Gutierrez’s Apollo displayed his no-fear attitude. The clash looked so realistic, under the guidance of a team of professional stuntmen and fight choreographers. But after the director calls it a good take, Jake and Richard flash their genuine friendship.

What’s a behemoth mobster without a devoted chick by his side? Eros has Nyx (Sofia Andres), the childhood friend secretly in love with him. Don’t you think they make a good pair? We mean, look at their visuals!

But while deeply invested in the script and character, Jake knows how to have fun, too. He appreciates the new friends and family he’s found in their small taping bubble in Cebu City and bonding with them.

Here are photos of him with the bad guys in the series Manuel Chua, Mark Oblea, and Enzo Pineda, and everyone’s new favorite sidekick Pepe Herrera:

Don’t assume that Jake is all about serious faces and no fun. He, too, has ‘kulit’ moments on set.

Don’t miss an episode of The Iron Heart, weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
