Just before the year comes to an end, ABS-CBN treats viewers with a new teleserye that will certainly bring more thrill, more action, and more drama to our primetime – The Iron Heart.
Although news about it were already making rounds online, it still came as a surprise to us since its teaser, trailer, and cast lineup were only released recently.
Nevertheless, those just enkindled our excitement to watch it, once it premieres today, Monday, November 14. And just in case you still need a little convincing for you to watch it, here are five reasons why should do.
It is the first bida role of Richard Gutierrez as a Kapamilya
After years of working in another network, Richard became a certified Kapamilya in 2017. And since then, he has already appeared in two Star Cinema flicks and four programs, with FPJ's Ang Probinsyano as his latest project.

As we all know, he played the monstrous "Supremo" or leader of the vampires Sandrino Villalobo (a.k.a. Gilbert Imperial) in his Kapamilya teleserye debut La Luna Sangre in 2017.
He also portrayed a baddie in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano from 2020 to 2022, wherein he was abhorred as Angelito "Lito" Valmoria, the notorious archrival of the titular character Cardo Dalisay.
And finally, after playing villain roles in both teleseryes, he's now the lead protagonist Apollo Adelantar in The Iron Heart, and is bound to blow our minds with his action and dramatic prowess.
It marks Maja Salvador's comeback series in ABS-CBN
Ever since she first appeared on television two decades in search of her estranged dad Ross Rival, Maja has stayed a true-blue Kapamilya.

Her last teleserye in ABS-CBN was the well-loved The Killer Bride, in which she compellingly played the titular character Camila Dela Torre and that ran from 2019 to 2020.
She now marks her comeback to ABS-CBN via her special participation in The Iron Heart as the love interest of Richard Gutierrez's character.
The stellar ensemble cast and directors
Aside from Richard and Maja, this exciting series will also be starred by a stellar ensemble cast.
Joining them are young talented artists Sue Ramirez, Louis Abuel, Sofia Andres, Andi Abaya, Kyle Echarri, Karina Bautista, and Althea Ruedas; as well as seasoned thespians Jake Cuenca, Diether Ocampo, Baron Geisler, Dimples Romana, Enzo Pineda, Meryll Soriano, Mitoy Yonting, Joem Bascon, Marc Abaya, and Pepe Herrera.

Veteran actors Albert Martinez, Roi Vinzon, Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, Jeric Raval, and Al Tantay will also be part of it.
The riveting, interesting narrative
The Iron Heart doesn't only boast an outstanding and promising pool of actors, but also an interesting and intriguing story that will surely fill our primetime with more action and more drama.
It follows the journey of Apollo in his pursuit of bringing down a powerful syndicate that he believes is the culprit behind the tragic death of his father, and how this will lead him to the discovery of his true identity and his connection to the evil he is determined to end.
In the trailer, we can see that Apollo uses his super strength in defending himself from his bullies in his younger years. He will become part of a group seemingly led by Maricel Laxa's character, which aims to fight the powerful syndicate called "Tatsulok".
It showcases the beauty of Cebu

Apart from the fantastic cast and enthralling narrative, another reason that makes The Iron Heart extra exciting is that it was shot in some of the scenic places in Cebu. In the opening scene of the trailer, we could see the charming Temple of Leah. For sure, we're going to see more tourist destinations as we watch the series in the following weeks and months, which will make us want to visit Cebu!
Are you excited as us to see The Iron Heart? Well, you better catch it once it premieres this Monday, November 14, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5!
