Tiyago (Tirso Cruz III) faced defeat in the latest round of his game called revenge. With the discovery of Rhian’s (Angel Locsin) true identity, Tiyago has certainly lost an ace. Yet, he is determined to get back up and think of other strategies to still win in the end.
At the town of Liwanag, Amelia (Janice de Belen) masks herself with fake kindness and generosity; and conducts an outreach program for the poor and the ill. Amelia faces the press people and speaks up about her philanthropy.
Amelia says her actions are not in any way influenced by a political agenda; rather, she is just simply living up to her husband’s good deeds. Amelia sheds crocodile tears as she talks about Tiyago’s disappearance. Her claims of seeking justice for her missing spouse become more compelling through the resident’s chants and support.
News features about Tiyago’s selfless deeds in the past also airs on television. Several townsmen of Liwanag share how Tyago helped them in their livelihood and medical needs; one man even owes his child’s life to Tiyago. Other citizens conduct rallies and vigils for their beloved ‘Heneral.’
Apparently, these are all just part of Amelia and Tiyago’s tactics in gaining public sympathy and support so as to make the latter appear innocent. Tiyago believes in using people as his biggest investment, saying these loyal supporters of his would stand up and even sacrifice their own lives for him.
Tiyago is too complacent that neither Rhian (Angel Locsin) nor Marcial (Albert Martinez) would manage to bring down because the public would serve as his shield from all his foes.
