After getting horrendously tortured by Tiyago (Tirso Cruz III) and Amelia (Janice de Belen), Rhian (Angel Locsin) is detained in a room, with hands and feet tied together.
Amelia comes in while being flanked by two men bringing a tray of meal for Rhian. She finds Rhian still sleeping in the wooden bed. Amelia takes a pitcher of water and pours the content all over Rhian’s body to wake her up. Then, she forces her to get up.
Sounding too furious, Amelia says Rhian deserves the punishment as a payment for Sabel’s (Maricel Soriano) boldness the previous night. The recent episode showed Sabel confronting Amelia about Elai’s (Arjo Atayde) kidnapping.
Rhian starts ranting about Amelia’s malevolence, saying the latter is unworthy of becoming a mother and that Amelia is full of ignorance about love. Amelia’ rage blazes up even more as she listens to Rhian’s lack of debt of gratitude.
But, Rhian remain fearless as she declares her regrets for pouring all her filial love over Amelia. All her life, Rhian didn’t have any desire but to fill in her yearning for Amelia’s affection even if it entails adhering to her and Tiyago’s wicked plans.
Amelia gets the last words and warns of killing Elai if Rhian would continue showing her dauntless side.
Despite the sturdy strings binding her hands, Rhian manages to hurt Amelia. But, the latter easily pushes her away; and walks out while briefing her henchmen to keep their vigilance over the hostage.
Rhian finds a brooch that has fallen off from Amelia’s clothes in the middle of their squabble. She grasps the idea of using the pin’s pointed end to free her hands from the rope.
