Ever since The General’s Daughter began to successfully invade our primetime on January 21, 2019, our evenings have been definitely packed with action, thrill, romance, and drama.
This series didn’t only bring us a truly well-written, one-of-a-kind, and exciting narrative, but episodes filled with suspense and action as well, which were meticulously helmed by its directors and astonishingly carried out by the cast members. Besides, this has also further proven the caliber of Angel Locsin, who portrays the titular character Rhian Bonifacio/Arabella De Leon, as an actress for this didn’t only exhibit her undeniable flair in drama, but her amazing skills in doing stunts and handling ammunitions, too.
But apart from her death-defying stunts, dramatic sense, and kilig moments with her on-screen partner Paulo Avelino, what makes her every appearance on-screen highly anticipated are the shocking transformations that she would pull off in order for her to fully accomplish her missions. Well, not all of those might be able to help make their tasks fruitful, but most of them were indeed successful in making a buzz and in getting included in the top trending topics of various social media platforms, such as her disguises counted in this Kapamilya Toplist.
Among the makeovers she wore in the 10 clips included in this montage, there are a few that arguably stood out the most.
First, was when she pretended to be pregnant by wearing a white floral duster and putting a huge bulge of cloth on her tummy. She indeed did a great job of making everyone believe that she’s really a preggo and an affectionate wife of Franco in their pursuit of escaping from the military personnel who were roving around the area they were at.
Second, was when Rhian did a little tweak onto her look by donning a lob wig and eyeglasses to make everyone believe that she’s one of the press people who covered the event hosted by her scheming, wicked foster mom Amelia (Janice de Belen). The latter was able to identify her and their unexpected encounter turned into an intense argument.
Her awesome evolution into a cosplayer was the next one to make our jaws drop as she undoubtedly nailed her blond wig and anime-inspired get-up! That had been the talk of the town as her fans gush over her ‘astig’ façade. Doing this was her last resort in order to gain entrance in the charity event wherein an illegal drug transaction was supposed to take place.
The same with her transformation into an elderly woman, which we consider as her entry to the Age Challenge fad that had been viral during those times. She did that in order to deeply observe and easily penetrate to the campaign event of her cruel foster dad Heneral Tiago Guerrero (Tirso Cruz III).
And recently, Rhian traded her denim jacket and pants to a religious habit to make herself look like a real nun. She did that not only to effortlessly gain entrance to the wedding venue of her ex-beau Ethan (JC de Vera) and adoptive sister Jessie (Ryza Cenon) and witness their union, but to also protect her beloved family.
But it was her disguise as a media crew that was absolutely mind-blowing as she appeared truly manly in her all-black ensemble, fake facial hair, and her long tress neatly kept in her black cap. Her partner-in-crime Franco equated her efforts as he apparently didn’t mind wearing make-up and a waitress’ uniform for the sake of completing their mission. Unfortunately, in the end, Tiago and his henchmen were still able to discover their plot.
Now that The General’s Daughter is down to its final week, are we going to expect a last-but-definitely-not-the-least transformation with Rhian? Well, that’s for us to find out in the remaining episodes, so you better keep watching, weeknights on Primetime Bida.
