The cast of the action-drama series The General’s Daughter recently had a short ceasefire when they attended the highly anticipated ABS-CBN Ball 2019, which was for the benefit of Bantay Bata 163’s Bantay Edukasyon project and paying homage to the formidable contributions and inspiring life of its founder – the late Gina Lopez.
Serving kilig to everyone was the reel-to-real tandem LoiNie, who walked down the red carpet together hand-in-hand and in their elegant ensembles. Loisa Andalio dared to bare more skin as her textured maroon terno from Penaflorida Atelier had a high slit and low neckline. Her loveteam partner and arm candy Ronnie Alonte, on the other hand, had two outfit changes but decided in the end to don the deconstructed black barong by Jaggy Clarino.
Fresh from the trending and heartbreaking demise of their characters Elai and Manang Sabel, Arjo Atayde and Ms. Maricel Soriano both captivated us with their separate appearances at the charity gala. Arjo was truly glowing in his barong-inspired cream blazer courtesy of Suit Up Manila, while the Diamond Star sparkled in her classy Paul Cabral off-shoulder black dress.
Meanwhile, leading men Paulo Avelino and JC de Vera swooned everyone with how dapper they both were in there Barong Tagalogs. JC was cladded in a Paul Cabral classic barong, while Paulo opted for an embroidered barong by Suit Up Manila.
The De Leon family was present as well, sans lead heroine Rhian (Angel Locsin) who decided to skip the glitzy affair and just donate the money she was supposed to spend for her ball preparations directly to the cause.
Strutting solo on the red carpet, Brigadier General Marcial, a.k.a Albert Martinez, indeed turned heads as he looked spruce in his Barge Ramos printed black barong. On the other hand, Ryza Cenon chose to sashay on the red carpet with her mom on the show, Eula Valdez. The former was truly fierce in her Filipiniana-inspired white and black suit custom-made by Jef Albea, while the latter was utterly shining and shimmering in her splendid asymmetric black and pink terno by Jearsond.
