At 8 years old, Daryl Sevillejo started his career as a ‘kontesero’. He had always been active in their local church choir and earns from performing at events. Last year Daryl chose to play for a band, and so he stopped singing.
This lad’s father used to work as a photographer but as of recent, he had been accepting ‘kargador’ jobs. His mother is a housewife, and he has four other siblings. What his father makes is not enough to support the family financially.
To lighten the burden, Daryl worked for their local church as a ‘convent boy’ and was accepted as one of their scholars. In return, he helps with church chores or does whatever is asked of him by the priests.
Daryl joined The Voice Teens to help ease his family’s financial burden and to fulfill his dream of becoming a singer-songwriter. Click here to view Darryl Sevillejo's Pictorial PREVIOUS| NEXT
