This 2017, Ritz Azul will star in the much-awaited tale of love that is forever cursed by fate in The Promise of Forever, together with Paulo Avelino and Ejay Falcon. FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2016)
Ritz’s first appearance as a Kapamilya was in the top-rating primetime action-drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. She played the role of Erica Nobleza, the female leader of solvent boys. Later on, she was saved by Cardo (Coco Martin) after getting almost raped by a police officer who abused and killed her sister.
Maalaala Mo Kaya: Halo-Halo (2016)
She also appeared in the longest-running drama anthology in Asia Maalaala Mo Kaya last November 12, 2016 in an episode entitled “Halo-Halo.” She portrayed Gellen, a strong and independent woman, who bravely faced life’s struggles. While working for a fastfood restaurant, she met and fell in love with Jomz (Ejay Falcon). Their unique love story proved that opposites really do attract.
Wansapanataym: Santi Cruz is Coming to Town (2016) Ritz also starred in Wansapanataym: Santi Cruz is Coming to Town. She played the role of Nicole Dizon, a social worker for the Lingap Tahanan Orphanage who gave Santiago (Paulo Avelino) the magical red gloves to teach him a lesson. The two knew each other when they were still young orphans but he didn’t realize it was her when they saw each other years after they got separated.
Maalaala Mo Kaya: Salamin (2017)
Last month, she appeared again in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya entitled “Salamin.” She portrayed Princess Punzalan, the highly-acclaimed actress known for playing kontrabida roles in teleseryes and the loving sister of Ben (Christian Bables).
The Promise of Forever (2017)
In The Promise of Forever, Ritz will play the role of Sophia Madrid, a cruise ship worker who will accidentally meet Evan/Lorenzo (Paulo Avelino). Eventually, she will fall in love him, without knowing that he’s a man who can never die.
Starting this September 11, “The Promise of Forever” will prove that love is truly beyond forever. Aside from Ritz Azul, Paulo Avelino, and Ejay Falcon, the series also stars Cherry Pie Picache, Tonton Gutierrez, Benjie Paras, Susan Africa, Eva Darren, Nico Antonio, and Amy Austria-Ventura. It is directed by Darnel Joy Villaflor and Hannah Espia.
