All of us deserve a second chance, like Camille (Shaina Magdayao) who gave love another try through her knight in shining armor Rafael (JC de Vera). Everything seemed to go well between them, until her estranged husband Marco (Carlo Aquino) resurfaced after being assumed as dead due to an accident and his new wife Bianca (Denise Laurel) has made their lives complicated as she unrelentingly tries to regain his heart.
Before, the viewers were divided into #TeamPangga and #TeamMahal as the two guys showed how much they love the lady in distress. Amidst all the struggles and confusion she experienced, Camille still chose to stick with Rafael and fight for their relationship nonetheless.
Yes, and here are the reasons why:
He’s been there through it all
He was her shoulder to cry on when she was distraught over Marco’s sudden loss and the one who helped realize her dreams. Camille might have gotten confused about her former beau’s comeback, but Rafael did everything to not let her get swayed by her emotions and to keep their marriage strong. And now that Bianca continues her rampage against Camille, Rafael’s been his wife’s ultimate protector and inspiration.
He’s a source of encouragement and strength
With all the problems Camille has faced, Rafael has been her source of strength to never surrender and go on with life, apart from her loving family. He always tell her to keep on fighting for what she knows is right and remind her to look at the brighter side of things. He indeed knows the right words to say when she’s feeling down and the right things to do when she’s in trouble.
He’s honest and dedicated
The key to a healthy relationship is communication, and his honesty about his feelings and thoughts could be the secret behind their strong bond as a couple. He’s been very vocal on his fear of losing Camille to Marco, as they spend time together in a complicated setup.
His loyalty with his wife was tested when Mayor Dyna Soriano (Carmi Martin) gave him an indecent proposal and was marred when he had an illicit affair with Ashley (Emmanuelle Vera). However in the end, he proved he was dedicated to Camille and came back to her and pleaded for her forgiveness.
He’ll fight for her ‘til the end
His domineering mom, Helen (Joyce Ann Burton), has been the main antagonist of their romance right from the start. But Rafael continues to defend Camille from her snide remarks and her wicked plans to break their marriage apart. He even made up stories just to hide the real reason behind the frequent sightings of his wife and Marco from his parents and heeded to her request to cool off. It terribly hurt them both, but he knew that giving her space could help.
Look at where they are right now, stronger and sweeter than ever!
He’s willing to wait for her
The process of Camille and Marco’s marriage annulment is indeed exhausting and tedious, but Rafael is still willing to wait for her freedom from her first marriage no matter how long it will take. Two to five years? No problem for him, as long as their affection for each other keeps on burning.
Let’s see where Camille and Rafael’s unconditional and formidable love would take them as The Better Half nears its conclusion, weekdays after PusongLigaw.
