His character Marco Saison in the suspense afternoon drama The Better Half may have been suffering from terrible marital woes, but in real life, Carlo Aquino is a happy and lucky guy as his relationship with long-time girlfriend Kristine Nieto is still going strong for seven years now.
According to reports, the couple met through the entertainment company VIVA which handled them before. Kristine was a former member of the girl group Eurasia while Carlo used to be one of their talents and recording artists alongside his rock band Kollide.
When asked if they are ready to settle down, the former child star said that even though they already see themselves together for the rest of their lives, they are still saving up for their future and aiming to establish a profitable venture which can still support them despite having no projects.
Aside from being partners for life, the couple are also hands-on business partners as they and their three other friends manage the Big Bite Avenue Food Truck, which serves sumptuous burgers and poutine (a Canadian dish consists of French fries topped with gravy-like sauce and cheese curds).
Not much has been said about their relationship since they’re keeping it low-key, but what most of us know is that they both enjoy taking on various adventures together as they share their fearless and romantic getaways, such as mountain climbing, on their Instagram accounts.
Apart from her musical background, Kristine also joined the 2007 Kapamilya reality show Be Bench The Model search where she emerged as the first runner-up. On the other hand, Carlo has been active in show business since the early 90s and a critically-acclaimed actor due to his award-winning portrayal in the films Bata, Bata, Paano Ka Ginawa? and Bagong Buwan. He currently stars in the series The Better Half and in the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino entry Bar Boys.
We’re looking forward on hearing wedding bells soon, Carlo and Kristine!
