The Broken Marriage Vow cast amazed, jittery on full trailer

Ever since it was announced that ABS-CBN was going to do the Philippine adaptation of the global BBC hit series “Doctor Foster, avid fans have been looking forward to seeing it.

And after introducing to us its stellar ensemble cast and giving us a peek on what to expect in the Filipino adaptation titled “The Broken Marriage Vow through the teasers, the long wait is finally over as Dreamscape Entertainment released its full trailer.

In the three-minute video, Jodi Sta. Maria’s character Dr. Jill Ilustre was introduced, a woman who seems to have everything a person could wish for in life – a successful career as a medical doctor and professor and a complete and happy family. But her world started to crumble down when she discovered that her husband David Ilustre, played by Zanjoe Marudo, is having an illicit affair with a younger woman named Lexy Lucero, portrayed by Sue Ramirez. Making things worse is when she found out that their circle of friends completely knows about this and none of them told her about it.

It includes some of the remarkable scenes such as the confrontations scenes between the two ladies at Jill’s clinic, during the Ilustres’ dinner with the Luceros, and the get-together at the Ilustres where Jill initially discovered the affair.

However, not only the fans waited for the trailer launch, but the The Broken Marriage Vow family as well. On that same day, a video of them watching the trailer together was uploaded on the official YouTube channel of ABS-CBN Entertainment.

Excitement and jitters apparently enveloped the room as they watched in bated breaths the portions of the project that they’ve worked on in the past months.

Joining the three lead stars in the watch party were their castmates Zaijian Jaranilla, Rachel Alejandro, Bianca Manalo, Angeli Bayani, Art Acuna, and Ketchup Eusebio, as well as its brilliant directors Concepcion “Connie” Macatuno and Andoy Ranay and the rest of the staff and crew.

As soon as the video ended, a deafening round of applause and cheers filled the room as they expressed how amazed they were by the output. They embraced one another and commended Jodi with her compelling portrayal. Direk Connie got teary-eyed and felt goosebumps, while Direk Andoy described it as “breathtaking.” Jodi also couldn’t contain how tensed and astounded she was of what she had just seen.

The Broken Marriage Vow is slated to premiere in January 2022.
