While we’re waiting to see JM de Guzman again on Pamilya Ko and Argel Saycon in the upcoming series Ang Lihim Ni Ligaya, the two actors recently riveted us with the compelling acting chops they exhibited in “Tol,”the latest short digital film created by ABS-CBN TV Production Digital Group for its Stay At Home Stories.

In the said film, JM and Argel portray the role of brothers Jay Mark and Pat who got reconnected three years after the latter cut his communication with the former and even blocked him on social media. He did this upon learning from the news that Italy is among the countries that is gravely affected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
During their heart-rending conversation over the phone, Jay found out that his younger brother already lives in Manila and has a family of his own, who he raises by working as a clerk in a grocery store. They recounted the terrible things they went through in the past – the death of their parents, Pat getting out of track, and their intense quarrel that ensued to the cutting of their ties for a long time – to which the latter is very apologetic about.
As Pat expresses his regret, Jay consoled him by telling that what’s important for him is he transformed and he’s able to correct the mistakes he committed. The conversation wrapped up with the brothers reminding one another to stay safe from where they are at present.
Just like the past Stay At Home Stories narratives, “Tol” was shot in the respective abodes of JM and Argel with the guidance of their director Aika Gaite, writer Sandy Morales, and camera operator Keyr Castro and assistance of their loved ones at home.
