Unless you have been living under a rock lately, then you would know that Sue Ramirez will be starring in Sunshine Family which is an adaptation of the award-winning 1992 Japanese film The Hit-And-Run Family. The story follows a Filipino family based in South Korea who decides to go back to the Philippines. Unfortunately, their plans were forced to change after a hit-and-run accident! Under the Korean-Filipino co-production of Spring Films and FILM LINE, the cast also includes Nonie and Shamaine Buencamino as well as Marco Masa.
So, what was it like to work on this project? There is no doubt that Sue just fell in love with her character. In fact, even if she was given a chance to portray a different role, she would not have it any other way. Mostly because she feels that they have share a lot of similarities like being outspoken, for example. Although, admittedly her character also tends to take people for granted.
Aside from the Filipino cast, one of her Korean co-stars is Shinwoo from the K-Pop boy group Blanc 7. Before shooting started, the two met during the table reading of their lines. We are not sure about their on-screen relationship yet, but they do have a kissing scene! This was definitely a memorable experience for the actress, and she hopes to work with more Korean actors in the future. We are sure that actor Kim Soo Hyun is on that list she dreams of acting with, since he has been her favorite since the drama “My Love From Another Star.”
If you are starting to feel jealous of the life Sue gets to live, then you might want to take note of these tips. If you want to see her in person, then mark your calendars for July 19! She will be having a birthday concert at the Music Museum to unleash her inner singer.
Sue also listed her favorite Korean dramas, expressions and gestures! Do not miss all of that and more. Do check out the video to catch her confessions!
