After weeks, or even months, of dutifully attending workshops and undergoing makeovers, which was followed by their go-see with ABS-CBN heads, the time had already come for our aspirants to face the members of the media during the press launch that took place on Wednesday night, May 22.
The eighth and last episode of the Star Magic Circle Journey mini-series was taken on-the-spot, giving the fans and other avid Kapamilya viewers to witness the momentous event via livestream.
On their grand ‘reveal day’ and their first-ever opportunity to present themselves to the public as members of the Star Magic Circle 2019, all the 16 neophytes – Glen Vargas (22), Arabella del Rosario (17), JC Alcantara (19), Melizza Jimenez (17), Kendru Garcia (20), Eisel Serrano (20), R.A. Lewis (21), Arielle Roces (22), Kyle Echarri (15), Aiyanna Waggoner (12), Javi Benitez (22), Belle Mariano (16), Jeremiah Lisbo (20), Sophie Reyes (20), Anthony Jennings (18), and Gillian Vicencio (19) – made sure that they’re always wearing their gleaming smiles.
As soon as they were introduced one-by-one, by stating their names and their respective backgrounds and experiences, the newly proclaimed Star Magic artists sat on the chairs designated to them, the floor was opened for the queries of the press. Some of the questions asked to them were about their qualities that make them stand out, the hardships they went through, the actors/actress they’re dreaming to work with, their perception on ‘luck’, and the level of their preparedness to becoming a star. Some of them were also quizzed personal questions, which they answered like a pro.
Before the event concluded, the Star Magic family congratulated and welcomed the newbies by showing the video they prepared for them that featured the seasoned, celebrated, and tenured artists of the talent institution, who we have seen in the past episodes, uttering their sincere pieces of advice to their new ‘siblings’ in the industry.
