Showbiz’s most anticipated event of the year is fast approaching. With only over a week left until the ABS-CBN Ball 2019, the stars must already be finalizing every detail of their plans for the big night. So, what can we expect from some of the industry’s gorgeous ladies?
Designer Jot Losa revealed that Kisses Delavin will be going for a chic look using light, pastel colors. Michelle Vito did some research and chose to focus more on the modern Filipiniana theme. Meanwhile, Charlie Dizon is putting all her faith in her stylist’s decision, “Alam kong siya ‘yung may alam na best for me.”
Kira Balinger and her stylist Drew Lacia are once again trusting the creative mind of designer Mark Bumgarner. He was the one behind the actress’ look for ABS-CBN Ball 2018 as well as her 18th birthday gown. This time around, she offered ideas on what she wanted to wear, but the overall ensemble was decided by Bumgarner, “lahat-lahat si Mark talaga.”
On the other hand, Leila Alcasid was inspired to go elegant and romantic by designer Vania Ramoff. “I really just wanted to have that kind of Vania vibes,” Leila tried to explain. In last year’s ball, Erich Gonzales won Best Dressed Female in a white off-shoulder Ramoff creation.
There is no doubt that these actresses will look every bit like a princess in a fairytale. But who will play their prince charming? “Rarampa akong solo,” Charlie shared. Kira and Michelle are also going solo. On the other hand, Kisses teased that she might walk the red carpet with someone. “You can make abang,” she stated without giving a name.
ABS-CBN 2019 is bound to be another memorable night for Kapamilyas. Aside from supporting Bantay Bata 163, the Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit star is looking forward to how the Ball will highlight Pinoy pride with the Filipiniana theme. Kira and Charlie see this as their chance to bond with friends in the industry. Leila is particularly excited since for the first time she will not be attending with her father, Ogie Alcasid. “It’s very much like me kind of growing up,” she expressed. And Kisses is simply thankful to be part of the ABS-CBN family. Attending this event is her way of giving back to fans, “that’s the reason why na-e-excite ako sa Ball, kasi ‘yung mga supporters ko, they’re always there.”
The 2019 ABS-CBN Ball is part of ABS-CBN’s celebration of 65 years of serving the Filipino. After last year’s affair that helped reopen the Bantay Bata 163 Children’s Village, it continues to support underprivileged children with Bantay Bata 163’s Bantay Edukasyon Scholarship Program as this year’s beneficiary.
