“Global platform talaga ‘yung aming goal,” he stated. When the Kapamilya star traveled to Los Angeles, he was inspired to establish a platform that will allow Filipino artists to reach audiences around the world. The message behind their name “Not So Famous” is that they work because to fulfill their passion, not just becoming famous. “Nandyan naman ‘yung fame. Pero mas mahalaga talaga ‘pag passionate ka sa isang bagay,” he added.

Their long-term goal is to spread good music. “Kung kaya din naman ng ibang bansa, why not us?” Young JV continued. He believes that Filipinos are talented performers and creators. So, they built their roster by reaching out to local artists who they believe fits the Not So Famous PH brand. Currently, they have produced “Wave” by Yeliee, “Used to Do” by Pau Palacio, and “Lungkot” by King Murph. Young JV also has a song, “Close To Me”. Its reggaeton styles makes it different from his previous singles.

All of their songs are available on Spotify and YouTube. Of course, Not So Famous PH has more in store for listeners. Young JV teased an upcoming collaboration with artists from Indonesia and Canada. He plans to release these within the year.

Aside from his music, the Kapamilya singer recently discovered a new skill because of the community quarantine. “Ito ‘yung perfect example siguro ng’ wag ka mag-doubt sa sarili mo,” he described.
