Aside from the continuously blooming romance of Jane (Loisa Andalio) and Edward (Ronnie Alonte) in Love In 40 Days, we also have our eyes on cute couple Celine and Brock, impressively played by Andi Abaya and Kobie Brown.
And in their latest guesting in Kapamilya Chat, KoDrea didn’t only give us an update on their narrative, but also shared what they like and dislike about their respective characters, as well as the challenges that they had to go through while working on the well-loved series.
Even though both of them are already spirits serving at Evergreen Mansion, their love for each other is absolutely unstoppable as they got engaged! However, they’re not really hoping to tie the knot because nuptials may be non-existent in the afterlife.
Andi elaborated, “Despite everything they’ve been through, like all the fights and all the doubts na meron si Celine kay Brock no’n, ‘yong mga pagsisisi nila, they were able to overcome it. And now, having that engagement, even if [walang] totoong ring [at] ribbon lang ‘yon, you can see how they’re really sure of each other. And ngayon, ang status nila ay para matulungan na si Jane at Edward, at sa lahat ng pinagdadaanan naman nilang dalawa.”
When asked what one trait they like and dislike about their characters, Andi disclosed how she admires Celine’s positive mindset towards the people around her and her willingness to help them in times of need. Meanwhile, she hated her during those times that Celine consistently pushed Brock away, which made her feel bad.
For Kobie, it would be Brock’s being caring not just for Celine, but for everyone around them, as well as how he manned-up by admitting the mistakes he committed, especially to his girlfriend. However, it took him a long time to think of anything that he abhors about his character. He eventually realized that it could be Brock’s being insensitive to what Celine felt and being inconsiderate of her own dreams in life.
KoDrea then recalled the challenges they encountered while doing Love In 40 Days, which was having to do certain scenes for two and more takes in order to ensure that each scene was well-executed – from the shooting proper to the post-production process. They also had to keep in mind their blockings, emotions, and appearances for the sake of continuity, as well as to be really careful in every movement that they would do.
Thus, Kobie commended director Manny Q. Palo for his being passionate and perfectionist, which he truly appreciated.
