Those who are strong enough to withstand the storm are rewarded with a brighter rainbow at the end. Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu demonstrated this equation of life in the public eye. Last May, her ‘Bawal Lumabas’ statement in an ABS-CBN live campaign rally turned into a hot topic on social media. It was used by bashers as weapon to knock her down. But as good as she is, Kim was able to turn the tables around, make use of the enemies’ stones, and turn them into her own power tools. As they say, she managed to make lemonades out of the lemons thrown at her. And the result was sweet victory.
Kim seems to have easily adapted to the new normal in the entertainment scene. There might have been huge changes on the set of Love thy Woman but the cast is coping well. They’re still the same bunch who loves to pig out and share ‘chika’ off-cam.
Even before she resumed taping for her teleserye, Kim got her first taste of ‘new normal’ production when she self-produced her own materials for the Star Magic “Love from Home” digital catalogue.
For big stars like Kim, pulling off a pictorial always takes a whole village consists of the glam team, production crew, creatives, and more. Without these people, the “Love from Home” photoshoot was like a whole new level of experience for her. She got a little help from beau Xian Lim who acted as her photographer.
“Masaya, lumabas ‘yung creativity natin. Iba siya pero its now part of the new normal,” said Kim, who also thanked everyone for their continuous support on her projects and the ABS-CBN.
