Kim Chiu celebrates 2M YouTube subscribers by reading hate comments

Aside from being the newest host of It’s Showtime, Kim Chiu recently marked another milestone in her career – hitting the two million subscriber mark on her official YouTube channel Kim Chiu PH!

However, instead of throwing a totally fun party, she decided to read random hate comments about her posted by some netizens on Twitter and YouTube comments section that were picked by her digital team prior to the shooting of her latest video blog.

She started off by expressing her gratitude to her continuously growing two million subscribers, saying, “I just wanna say ‘thank you’ so very much sa inyong [panonood] ng mga videos ko, sa mga comments ninyo, sa pag-share ninyo ng mga videos ko.”

Among the hard-hitting tirades the Chinita Princess received were regarding the fabulous Filipiniana gown she wore in the ABS-CBN Ball last year that spawned to various memes on social media, her controversial video during the Laban Kapamilya Live Event, her alleged bad attitude, and her LSS-inducing hit song “Bawal Lumabas”.

“Wala namang tanga. Sadyang may mga tao na nagkakamali lang ‘di ‘ba? At saka ‘yong mga pagkakamali na ‘yon, it will help you grow, it will thicken your character in life, it will make you strong. Kaya tayo binigyan ng mga pagkakamali para matututo tayo, so huwag tanga agad,” Kim replied upon reading the consecutive “stupid” remarks from netizens.

Despite the bashing she got after the “Bawal Lumabas” controversy, which she considers as one of the darkest and lowest points of her life, Kim related that she still feels blessed to be able to share the positive and fruitful outcome of it to other people.

She also quoted social activist Mahatma Gandhi as she imparted how she reacted to the snide comments hurled at her in that particular period of her life.
“And sabi nga ni Gandhi, ‘nobody can hurt you without your permission’. So, it’s really up to us kung magpapasakit tayo o hindi. Amazing! That is amazing!”

“No one can hurt you if you don’t allow them to hurt you. No’ng mga past months ang daming nangyari. ‘Di na ‘yan pumasok sa sistema ko dahil ayoko na masaktan ako sa mga sinasabi n’yo, so ‘di ako na-hurt. Ito pa rin ako ngayon – happy, alive, kicking, with two million subscribers,” she uttered.

Then she continued, “Thank you so much for all your hate comments. Pero huwag kayong mag-alala, I still love you all and I’m very open with the bad comments and everything. Okay lang ‘yon, that’s part of life. It will make us stronger, it will [build] our characters in life, mas magiging malakas pa tayo sa mga susunod pang darating na unos ng buhay dahil kasali talaga ‘yon.”

Kim ended the vlog by once again conveying her gratitude to her fans and two million subscribers and receiving her fabulous red cake!
