Kapamilya Confessions: Patrick Quiroz and Vivoree Esclito on their unexpected pairing and their dreams as a loveteam

Among the many quarantine experiments, the unexpected team-up of Patrick Quiroz and Vivoree Esclito would have to be one the most successful.

Fans got their first taste of PatVoree vibes in the hit BL series “Hello, Stranger” which ran during the earlier months of lockdown. While the show was focused on the lead characters Mico (JC Alcantara) and Xavier (Tony Labrusa), the fresh tandem of Patrick and Vivoree as Seph and Kookai respectively also got the rave for their chemistry.

PatVoree instantly amassed a huge fan base and they were even dubbed as the next loveteam to beat. The positive feedback landed them follow-up projects and guest appearances on digital shows.

Aside from being part of Rise Artist Studio’s “We Rise Together,” they were tapped to revive the Kapamilya Christmas Station ID “Star ng Pasko.” In this episode of Kapamilya Confessions, the duo said they felt pressure in giving their own rendition of such an iconic piece. Nonetheless, they are grateful and honored to have recorded a song that tickles everyone’s childhood memories.

Patrick and Vivoree have long been friends. They crossed paths inside a coffee shop within the ABS-CBN compound not long after Vivoree exited the Pinoy Big Brother house. They had a small talk after he and some fans asked for a photo op with her. They would come across to each other as friendly and warm.

Patrick has been supportive of Vivoree since then. He was often behind the scenes watching her perform on stage, so he had mixed emotions when they formed a loveteam.

The fans’ reaction is enough to validate that Patrick and Vivoree make a perfect match. Their interesting combination extends from the acting to the music arena, hence the heartwarming new rendition of “Star ng Pasko” and a couple of online jamming. Patrick is often requested to dedicate a song for Vivoree, and in this video, he serenaded her with “Forevermore.”

The young artists wish to perform together onstage, for real, in front of a live audience. That’s something to look forward to after the pandemic, besides their dream post-lockdown beach getaway. Patrick would like to bring Vivoree to the crystal-clear, majestic Apo Reef where he had fun, and an injury while snorkelling, last year.

On the possibility of dating each other, he said he would have to ask for her mom’s permission first. Vivoree will be back in school next year. While she hasn’t picked a university or a degree yet, communication and business-related courses are part of the options.

In the First and Last Challenge, Patrick confessed that Vivoree is the last person he thinks about. Bruno Mars is his first celebrity idol while hers is Justin Bieber.

Vivoree first appeared on TV as a PBB housemate back in 2016. Unknown to many, Patrick had a quick appearance on It’s Showtime when he was 11.

Talking about their first embarrassing moments, Vivoree shared that she fell from a tree in grade school while Patrick slipped on the stairs in front of his schoolmates in high school.

His last Instagram post is a photo of a candle lighted for All Soul’s Day. Her recent upload is a snapshot from their guesting on It’s Showtime. They last cried the night before this interview. The eyes are the first things they look at a person.

On that one thing that reminds them of each other, Vivoree said ‘guitar’ because they love to perform together while Patrick talked about their goals. He added that his dream role is to play an indestructible action star ala Cardo Dalisay from FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
