Joshua Garcia gifts us with smiles and good vibes as he takes on the “Sing the Acronym” Challenge in this edition of Kapamilya Chat.
In the spirit of the holiday season, he guessed the given acronym of popular Christmas song titles, and sang a few lines from these carols.
He had a good start with “Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit” followed by “Jingle Bells.” He also sang snippets of “Joy to the World” and “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.” The game likewise reminded us to include “Feliz Navidad,” “12 Days of Christmas,” “Christmas in Our Hearts,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” “Oh, Holy Night,” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You” in our holiday playlist.
Joshua was all-smiles while taking us back to his fondest childhood memories of going around the village to belt out Christmas carols with his barkada. And although they’d only be given coins, collect a little amount after, or even shooed away, these kinds of traditions will always spark beautiful nostalgia.
“Ibang experience ‘yun. Ang pinakamasaya kasi sa part na ‘yun, ‘yung magkakasama kayong barkada. Tapos may times na hahabulin kayo ng aso, tapos may patawad,” Joshua reminisced.
This year, carollers may not be able to go house to house but making new traditions doesn’t have to be a bad thing. And the spirit of Christmas doesn’t need to be cancelled.
