JM de Guzman Van Tour

As JM de Guzman began to gradually open up about his personal life through his YouTube channel, he recently gave us a tour around his simple yet functional customized van – for the first time – in his latest vlog.

He started off by explaining why his Super Grandia LimoType is matte black. He disclosed that it’s because Batman is his favorite, so he took inspiration from the fictional comic hero’s popular batmobile, which he finds “maangas”. According to him, painting his vehicles black gives him the vibe of being always on a mission and of having to save someone.

JM then proceeded on showing the customized interiors, beginning with the floor mat that could absorb water and help remove mud or soil, especially during raining days. He also demonstrated how the “captain seat” works, which is an ergonomic car seat that can be reclined and has leg rest and a foot rest that doubles as a box where small items can be stored.

As his hectic work schedule made it impossible for him to use television anymore, he decided to put a flat screen TV in his van where he can watch series and movies via a streaming platform and even play his favorite video games through his PlayStation.

Mas nakaka-relax,” he related.

JM then showed the “starry, starry night” ceiling, which are little lights that provide dim lighting to his van as it tends to get completely dark once the lights are turned off. He, as well, took a moment to introduce the people who usually sit on the “captain seats”, a.k.a. his usual companions – his younger brother Matthew Angelo and his best friend Niño Mendoza. Also there’s his Kuya Mico, who sits beside the driver, and Matthew’s girlfriend Shane Tan.

Even though he’s already comfortable with his companions, the 33-year-old actor put a window between the passengers’ and the driver’s areas for him to have privacy and to also block off the light coming from the driver’s area. He also has a mini refrigerator where he stores his favorite beverages.

He brought us next to his mini bedroom, wherein an upholstered sofa bed, a small closet, and safe vault for his personal belongings can be found. Then he got off and took us at the back of his van, where more compartments can be found.

Lastly, he gave us a closer look on the “pilot seat” or the driver’s area, which is the coldest area of the vehicle according to him.
