Seth Fedelin is one of the most in-demand young stars today – his new single “Kundi Ikaw,” plus two upcoming series “Lyric and Beat” and “Dirty Linen” serve as proof. Despite his growing success, Seth admits he wasn’t always this confident about his dreams, and himself, specifically while he was just starting out in showbiz after his Pinoy Big Brother stint.
Find out how he built the courage to chase after his dreams in this episode of Kapamilya Chat.
Seth credits the people around him – fans and mentors – for boosting his confidence. “Nakinig lang ako sa mga taong nakapalibot sa akin. Pinakinggan ko lang ‘yung mga advice nila. Pinakinggan ko lang ‘yung mga feedback nila sa trabaho ko. Pakinggan mo sila kasi kailangan mong i-take as motivation lahat ng sinasabi ng mga tao sa paligid mo, good or feedback man ‘yan,” he said.
Even the negative comments, he turned into power tools, “Hindi porke’t bad ang sinabi sa’yo panghihinaan ka na ng loob. At saka nakakapulot ka din ng aral, ay, baka ganito nga ako.”
This story is similar to that of his character, Beat, in the upcoming musical series “Lyric and Beat.” In this iWantTFC original series, he portrays a shy teen with a golden voice. He meets Lyric (Andrea Brillantes), who’d push him to share his talent to the world.
“Lyric and Beat” revolves around high school kids who are members of a musical group reaching for both their individual and collective goals. The performances in the series pay tribute to the 20 years of music of hitmaker Jonathan Manalo.
“Lyric and Beat,” which will premiere this August 10, also stars Darren Espanto, AC Bonifacio, Jeremy G, Angela Ken, Awra Briguela and Sheena Belarmino.
