Like some of the celebrities we admire and look up to at present, Enzo Pineda’s ticket to the local entertainment scene was joining another network’s reality talent search in 2008. He may not be declared the winner, yet he was still able to fulfill his dream of becoming an actor.
He was one of the bankable heartthrobs of that network then, thus, it shocked his fans and showbiz onlookers when he decided to transfer to ABS-CBN in 2016. And as he’s set to exhibit his dramatic chops anew in the movie “Dok,” let us look back on his remarkable journey as a Kapamilya in this episode of PUSH Evolution!
His acting debut as a Kapamilya was in the Nadine Lustre and James Reid-starrer Till I Met You, wherein he played the role of Stephen Camacho, the gay boyfriend of JC Santos’ character Ali. He then went on to appear in various Kapamilya show, such as Magandang Buhay, Tonight With Boy Abunda, and ASAP Natin ‘To.
Enzo also starred in several episodes of the legal drama anthology Ipaglaban Mo, namely, “Sementado” (2017), “Disgrasyada” (2018), “Ganti” (2018), “Akusasyon” (2019), and “Huling Hapunan (2020), as well as of the longest drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya, titled “Galon” (2018) and Posas (2020).
The talented heartthrob got his big break as a Kapamilya in 2018 through the Kapamilya Gold series Pusong Ligaw, wherein he impressed us with his performance as one of its main characters Rafael Laurel. It was succeeded by his portrayals of Datu, the chief of the “Taga-Laot” region in the 2018 fantasy-action series Bagani, and of James Villaluna in the 2019 daytime drama Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit.
In 2021, he had a special participation in the long-running action drama FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, wherein he was cast as Black Ops member Alvin Cuevas.
Aside from teleseryes, he also showcased his dramatic chops in the big screen, such as in “Bar Boys” (2016), “Extra Service” (2017), and “DOTGA: Da One That Ghost Away” (2018). He snagged his first acting award through the Sinag Maynila Film Fest 2020 entry “He Who Is Without Sin”, in which his compelling portrayal of a reporter brought him his “Best Supporting Actor” trophy from the 2021 FAMAS Awards.
Last 2021, Enzo proudly shared that he’s now a military reservist after completing his basic citizen military training under the Philippine Marine Corps. He celebrated this milestone with his beloved family and actress-girlfriend Michelle Vito, to whom he’s been in a relationship with for two years now.
