Don’t you miss Gerald Anderson in a feel-good love story that highlights his masculine charm? The hunk actor will capture our hearts all over again as he topbills “Hello, Heart.”
To be released ten days before Christmas, Gerald considers “Hello, Heart” the perfect gift for fans and viewers as the country slowly heals from the pandemic. Gerald is one of the hottest Kapamilya actors today that he’s often swamped with back-to-back projects. His last teleserye Init Sa Magdamag finished airing just last September.
Given the demands of his job, of course, he would prefer longer breaks before hopping on his next assignment. Nonetheless, he’s thankful for the nonstop blessings. Sometimes the short intervals also help him let go of his character from the previous show, “Kasi binuhos mo lahat doon, eh. Para sa upcoming project, fresh ka na ulit and ready to work. Our audience, gumagastos sila, they take time out of their lives para makapanood sa TV. So, you have to always give them something new and exciting, ‘yun ang goal ko lagi.”
“Hello, Heart” tells the story of two people from different worlds, a plot that Gerald is quite familiar with. He’s Saul, a business tycoon whose life takes a crazy turn while playing a fake husband-and-wife trope with the nanny of his dementia-stricken grandmother. Keeping it more delightful is his fresh tandem with viral songstress-turned-actress Gigi de Lana portraying Heart.
Gerald admitted to searching about Gigi online. He said it was easy to break the ice between them, thanks to Gigi’s genuine charm and bubbly personality that’s close to her onscreen persona as Heart.
As the leading man and the more experienced actor, Gerald sincerely guided the novice Gigi on the set as part of his job. But he didn’t have a hard time working with her. “Si Gigi, for her first time na mag-lead ng mini-series, ang galing din niya. Alam kong matutuwa at magiging proud ang audience at fans niya. Nakakagulat kasi napakanatural din nya.”
The trailer already showcased Gerald and Gigi’s refreshing, super ‘kilig’ chemistry where we saw possibilities of a little hate between a perky ‘raketera’ and an emotionless businessman turning into romance.
Asked for his thoughts about the old-school love quote “the more you hate, the more you love,” Gerald was reminded of campus crushes. “’Di ba ‘pag may crush ka noong kabataan, parang masungit tayo sa kanila? Parang hindi natin sila pinapansin. Pero pa-cute lang naman ‘yun, eh,” he answered, flaunting his unfading boy-next-door smile.
Be smitten by Gerald and Gigi’s onscreen magic in their upcoming mini-series “Hello, Heart” to premiere on December 15 at 8 pm on iQiyi.
The series is part of the multi-title content deal iQiyi signed with ABS-CBN, which aims to fortify the commitments of both companies in bringing high quality, relatable and inspiring Philippine content with universal themes while championing the Filipino talents and stories onto the global stage
